Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I schedule a REMS appointment?

Thank you for your interest in scheduling a REMS appointment.  To schedule an appointment, please click on the "Schedule Appointment" button above.  Available dates and locations will appear on the calendar. Select a date/location.  Select an available appointment time.

After you have selected your preferred appointment time, you will be prompted to enter information, acknowledge a consent form, and make a nonrefundable payment to reserve your appointment.  You must read and check the acknowledgement/consent form to confirm the appointment request.

Once payment has been accepted, you will receive confirmation of your appointment along with the address to the exact location for the appointment. Confirmation will be sent via the e-mail you have provided, along with instructions for preparing for the REMS evaluation.

Appointment reminders are sent one week prior and 1-2 days prior to your appointment.  Address to the location is on your appointment confirmation and reminders.  Please check your spam folder if you do not receive confirmation or reminders.

Please do not reach out to the business location listed for information regarding your appointment.

We do not accept insurance or assist with insurance reimbursement.

  • Can you tell me more about REMS technology?

Qualis Os by Z Medical Solution provides REMS evaluations and education about the clinical application of REMS technology for bone health. If you have questions about the technology itself, purchasing the technology, or locations where you can get a REMS evaluation, please contact Echolight Spa. If you want to understand the technology and how it was developed, there are several research articles available online. Please contact Echolight Spa for this type of information.

REMS technology can be used for monitoring bone health in people with scoliosis, osteoarthritis of the spine and hips, and in other special situations for which use of DXA is limited.

  • How do I prepare for a REMS evaluation?

    1. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment time.  The schedule is tight and accommodation for late arrivals is not guaranteed.
    2. Empty your bladder or bowels before being called to the exam room.  Arriving 15 minutes early will give you plenty of time to address bathroom calls.
    3. Bring a towel or yoga mat.  Your personal towel or yoga mat will be placed on the exam table.  You will be lying on your personal towel or yoga mat.  Why?  We are doing our best to minimize medical waste.  Use of paper sheets over the table creates unnecessary waste during the REMS exam.
    4. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.  Your abdomen will be exposed first to perform the exam for the lumbar spine.  To perform the exam for the hip, the inguinal crease (groin) will need to be exposed.  You will be asked to bring your pants to mid-thigh to access the inguinal crease.  Please wear underwear.
    5. Avoid eating a meal or drinking 2-3 hours prior to your exam.  Gas in the intestines will interfere with the lumbar spine exam.
  • How much does a REMS evaluation cost?

The average price range for a REMS evaluation ranges from $200-$300. It may vary based on the location or event.

  • Can you come to my city?

Our team is happy to explore opportunities at various locations with professional businesses within the medical, health, and fitness industries.

If you are looking for Echolight locations other than the ones listed on this website, please contact Echolight spa, as we are not able to respond to those requests.

  • How do I get my REMS report?

The REMS reports will have your BMD T-scores and Fragility Scores for your lumbar spine and both hips.

If your REMS evaluation is performed at your physician’s office, your physician will be given the report and will review it with you.

If your REMS evaluation is performed at a location other than your physician’s office, you will receive a USB drive with your reports.

The reports can be opened with a Windows-based computer.

If you have an Apple computer, you can use an adapter to open the reports on the USB drive, or you may chose to print your reports at a location that can provide printing services.

We do not e-mail your reports or share your reports with third parties.
